Indie Publishing, My Way :

The topic of one of my presentations concerns the experiences I’ve had publishing my books as an independent author. For all the years I’ve taught,  I’ve never had the confidence to share my writing with my kids. Three years ago that changed for three reasons; 1) my discovery of the ease of publishing and possibility of bringing a book to a huge audience with the Internet and social media tools available to all authors, 2) the stigma for what used to be called vanity press is almost a thing of the past, and 3) I’m getting to be an old bum. Why not share all that I’ve learned with my kids? The results of this sharing, over the past three years, has been nothing less than astounding, joyful, more rewarding than just about anything I’ve ever done as a writer or school librarian.
